The horizontal back-link rear suspension features rebound and preload adjustability, with a remote preload adjuster facilitating quick and convenient setting changes (without tools) to suit tandem riding, luggage, or rider preference.

The Ninja® 1100SX ABS brakes feature monobloc front brake calipers that offer a firm initial touch, a level of brake force that is very easy to control, and superb overall brake performance. The rear brake disc is a large diameter (260 mm) that contributes to exceptional stopping power.

Kawasaki Quick Shifter

The dual-direction Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) functions from a low minimum rpm for smooth shifting performance at lower speeds and higher-revving action. This technology allows both clutchless upshifts and downshifts for seamless acceleration and smooth deceleration.

Data-Driven Performance

A compact Bosch IMU enables inertia along 6 Degrees of Freedom to be monitored: acceleration along longitudinal, transverse, and vertical axes plus roll rate and pitch rate. The 6th degree—yaw rate—is calculated by the ECU, and together with input from the IMU, chassis orientation information is fed to Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling software. This technology, developed for the WorldSBK Championship-winning Kawasaki Racing Team, has evolved into several rider aids fine-tuned to enhance Ninja® sport-touring performance.

Acceleration & Stability

The IMU-enhanced feedback version of Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) predicts conditions and acts before slippage exceeds the range for optimal traction. Riders can choose from 3 modes of KTRC. Mode 1 is least intrusive and Mode 3 offers the greatest level of control, ideal for wet conditions or challenging road surfaces. Riders can also turn the KTRC system off.

Integrated riding modes link Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) and Power Modes to offer varying traction control and power delivery settings to suit different riding conditions.

The Ninja® 1100SX ABS utilizes advanced technology to deliver superior cornering performance. The Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF) uses input from the IMU to enable a control function—cornering management—which monitors engine and chassis parameters to assist riders in holding their intended line through corners.

Riders can set power delivery to suit conditions and/or preference. Low power mode limits power output to approximately 70% of full power and delivers a milder throttle. Full power mode utilizes 100% engine power.
